Hello, this is Mark Engel, Landscape Architect with Yaggy Colby Associates. I have just posted the powerpont presentation that Joel West, Senior Planner and I presented to the Rushford Planning Commission Tuesday evening April 15th, 2008.  The presentation outlines National Parks and Recreation standards for park space and how the City of Rushford compares to these standards.  A discussion on Strategic Goals to assist downtown redevelopment led into a review of Financial Incentives including Tax Increment and Tax Abatement options for the City of  Rushford.

Hello, This is Mark Engel, Landscape Architect with Yaggy Colby Associates. Listed here are two meetings that were noted at the City of Rushford Planning Commission that you may want to take part in:

Notice of invitation to all interested parties to attend a public meeting that will feature the presentation of the Housing Study Update by the authors of the study. This meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 27, 5:30 - 7:00 in the lower level meeting room at Stumpy’s Restaurant. A light meal of soup and sandwich will be offered. An RSVP to Heather at 864-2444 is requested.

Demographic Information Posted in File Library

Good Morning, Joel West, Senior Planner with Yaggy Colby Associates. As part of our continuing work on the Comprehensive Plan Update Yaggy Colby Associates has assembled a variety of information regarding population, estimated population growth, demopgraphic data, economic data on basic employment sectors etc.  I have posted this information in the File Library for review by all.  This data will also be helpful as background information as part of the Minnesota Design Team Team visit . The Minnesota Design Team is scheduled to to visit Rushford April 24 throught 26, 2008. The goal is to bring people together from Rushford, Rushford Village and Peterson to forge a common vision in response to the devastating floods last year. Steering Committee for the Minnesota Design Team to Meet in March

Minnesota Design Team Coming to Rushford

City of Rushford begins Comprehensive Plan Update

Hi, I’m Joel West, Senior Planner with Yaggy Colby Associates.

In December 2007, the City of Rushford contracted with us to update the City’s Comprehensive Plan and an organizational meeting was held with the Planning Commission shortly thereafter.

After some demographic research and data gathering, Christina Peterson and Mark Engel, staff people with our company, made the first of a series of presentations to the Planning Commission on January 15, 2008.
